  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – according to taste
  • Capsicum – 1 (cut into long slices)
  • Onion – 1 (cut like leaves)
  • Wooden skewer or toothpick (if you want tandoor look)

Wrapping material:-

  • Refined flour – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – according to taste
  • Water – as required (for kneading)
  • Ghee or Butter – for frying.

Ingredients for chutney and sides:-

  • Green Coriander-Mint Chutney – ½ cup
  • Chopped Onion – 1 (soaked in vinegar)
  • Chaat Masala – ½ tsp
  • Mayonnaise (optional) – 2 tbsp
  • Salad leaves (lettuce or cabbage) – as required

Paneer tikka roll making method

Step 1- Making paneer tikka roll masala:- In a bowl, add curd, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, fenugreek seeds, lemon juice and salt and whisk well. Now add paneer cubes, onion and capsicum and let it marinate for 20-30 minutes.

Step 2- Frying tikka:- Heat 2-3 teaspoons of oil on a pan or griddle. And add marinated paneer and vegetables. And fry on low-medium flame for 4-5 minutes until it becomes light golden.

Step 3- Making roti for roll:- Mix salt, celery and oil in flour and knead. Add water and knead soft dough and keep it covered for 10-15 minutes. Make small balls and roll thin rotis and apply light oil on the griddle and bake on both sides.

Step 4- Preparing roll:- Apply a little green chutney or mayonnaise in the middle of the roti. Place the prepared paneer tikka masala on top. Add onion flakes and chaat masala if you want. Wrap it like a roll, use a toothpick if you want.

How to make paneer kathi roll

Ingredients for roti/paratha:-

  • Required Maida – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Salt – according to taste
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Water – for kneading

Ingredients for stuffing:-

  • Paneer – 200 grams (cut into cubes)
  • Capsicum – 1 (thinly chopped)
  • Onion – 1 (in leafy slices)
  • Tomato – 1 (chopped)
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  • Salt – according to taste
  • Oil – 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – finely chopped
  • Green chutney or mayonnaise – according to taste (optional)

Prepare paratha:- Mix Maida and flour and add salt and oil in it. Knead soft dough with water and keep it covered for 15 minutes. Make balls and roll them and apply light oil on the pan and fry them till golden brown on both sides.

Make paneer stuffing:- Heat oil in a pan, temper cumin seeds in it. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry lightly. Add onion, capsicum, tomato and cook till the vegetables become soft. Add red chilli, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Now add paneer cubes and fry for 2–3 minutes. Finally add green coriander and turn off the gas.

Make rolls:- Apply green chutney or mayonnaise in the middle of the paratha. Place the prepared paneer stuffing in the middle. Fold it like a roll and wrap it in tissue paper or foil. Serve hot paneer kathi rolls.

Suggestion:- You can also add carrot, cabbage or sweet corn along with capsicum in the stuffing. If you like spicy food, use red chutney or chilli flakes.

Heat oil and crackle cumin seeds

Heat oil or ghee in a pan on medium flame. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and let them crackle. This makes the food even better with the aroma of the spices.

Fry onions and ginger-garlic

Now add chopped onions and fry till golden brown. Keep stirring in between so that the onions do not burn. When the onions turn light pink, add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and fry for 2-3 minutes so that the raw aroma goes away.

Add dry spices

After the onions dissolve and oil is released, add turmeric, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Mix well and fry for 1-2 minutes so that the spices do not remain raw.

Add tomato puree
